Layering for the fall and winter is a must. Layering clothing is also appropriate for transitional weather, when it’s cold enough to wear a coat but not warm enough to wear lighter clothing. Ladies, have you ever thought about layering a dress with pants?
While not a popular pairing, it definitely elevates your sense of fashion. Pair a longer, less fitted dress or top with pants. In doing so, you are able to showcase both pieces in a creative way. If worn properly, you are able to accent the smallest part of your upper body without creating a bulky layering look.
We, consumers, tend to purchase clothing unnecessarily because there’s a lack of understanding about how to sculpt together the most cohesive outfit. We’re often color stricken or subscribe to societal norms, allowing for dictation as it pertains to which pieces “should” compliment one another. Pairing a dress or a longer top with pants is a simple way to maximize the clothing within your existing wardrobe. Hopefully, this advice will expand the way that you experience clothing.
It is important to be able to create dimensions with getting dressed! Doing so creates an abundance of outfits and variety within your wardrobe. To that end, I encourage each of you fashion goers to pair a dress / longer top with pants!
